The 5th Hong Kong Volunteer Award Henderson Land Group – Property Management Department is honored to be awarded The Fifth Hong Kong Volunteer Award – Corporate Award Winner launched by Agency for Volunteer Service and RoadShow which is the only corporate has been awarded this year. The presentation ceremony is officiated by Mrs. Regina Leung, Wife of the Chief Executive Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Mr. JP Lee, SBS, OBE, JP, Chairman of Agency for Volunteer Service. Agency for Volunteer Service launched the First Hong Kong Volunteer Award in 2005. The Award is a territory-wide campaign aims to recognize volunteers’ contribution and achievements, to raise volunteer profile and societal recognition on volunteerism, and to present exemplary volunteering models to Society. The “Hang Oi Service Team of Care” co-organized by Hang Yick and Well Born has been actively engaged in volunteer service and to contribute to Society. The spirit of volunteerism is thus extended to reach the community through visiting elderly homes, hair cutting for elderly, illness children and mental retarded people, house cleaning and maintenance for home alone elderly；participation in tree planting, blood donation, knitting to give warmth action, beach cleaning, moon cake and dragon boat dumpling give away, etc, in order to help the needy, in promotion of the spirit of care and love. It also provides a platform to put into practice the ideal of “What is gained from Society is ploughed back for the good of Society in return”, helping create a society of harmony, care and love.
