IDEA Centre Officially Opens to Benefit Ethnic Minorities in Shatin

The support service centre in Sha Tin, known as the IDEA Centre, officially opened on 19 December 2024. The Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, Miss Alice Mak, officiated at the opening ceremony of the IDEA Centre. Other officiating guests included the Permanent Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, Ms Shirley Lam; the Under Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, Mr Clarence Leung; the Director of Home Affairs, Mrs Alice Cheung; the Honorary President of Hong Kong Community Network (HKCN), Dr. Lam Ko Yin and the President of HKCN, Mr Suen Kwok Lam.IDEA Centre, commissioned by the Home Affairs Department, provides various support services for ethnic minorities, including language classes, orientation programmes, youth activities, career coaching and referral services, and information provided by the Government and non-profit organisations.
