Safe the Food for Those in Need

Freshly baked buns and pastries are always people’s choice for breakfast or afternoon tea as they are quick, easy and fulfilling. However, they will usually be left over by the end of the day and be sent straight to trash. Maxim’s Group was the first to launch the “Surplus Food Donation Programme” since 2009, encouraging the F&B sector to promote food donation so as to reduce waste while helping others. “Team of Care” is rather convinced by the programme that we organized the “Safe the Buns” campaign in Dec 2021, sending volunteers to different Maxim’s Cake branches to collect the surplus of the day and donate them to charity organizations, saving food for those in need.
