"ESG 'Furry’ Christmas" Spreads a Message: Environmental Protection x Anti-Scam

2025-12-23

Henderson Property Management Department used plastic bottles, books, and aluminum cans to create Christmas trees to decorate its residential estates from 2022 to 2024. This year, we launched "ESG 'Furry’ Christmas" recycling over 20,000 secondhand plush toys to make Christmas trees. For the first time, we collaborated with the Public Relations Wing of the Hong Kong Police Force, utilizing over 6,000 anti-scam mascot "The Little Grape" plush toys to create a "Grape" Christmas tree, promoting sustainable development and raising awareness of fraud prevention among the public. On 23 December, 2025, Henderson Property Management Department held the "ESG 'Furry’ Christmas x Anti-Scam" event. Mr Suen, Executive Director of Henderson Land, mentioned in his speech that the Property Management Department uses different recyclable materials each year to encourage residents to celebrate a green holiday and raise their environmental awareness. This year, we are collaborating with the police to remind the public to be vigilant against scams, pushing the ESG Christmas concept to a deeper level. The Chief Superintendent of the PR Wing Leung Chung-man also expressed his hope that this cute and environmentally friendly approach would convey the important messages of "Stay Alert to Scams" and "Protect the Earth" to the public.
