Thousand People Poon Choi Feast for the Year of the Monkey

Hong Kong Community Network (HKCN) organized the “Thousand People Poon Choi Feast for the Year of the Monkey” on March 20, 2016 at Kwai Chung Sports Ground. More than 30 guests including the Chief Secretary for Administration of Hong Kong Government Mrs Carrie Lam, GBS, JP, and Donor of HKCN cum the Executive Director of Henderson Land Development Company Ltd, Dr. Lee Ka Kit - GBS, JP, DBA (Hon)and Chairman of Board of Supervisors of HKCN cum Executive Director of the Henderson Land Development Company Limited , Mr. Suen Kwok Lam BBS, MH, JP, together attended the event with more than 1000 social disadvantaged group including local ethnic minorities, elderly, and the physically disabled. Our “Team of Care” had also participated and supported this event. The theme of the event is “Harmony.Appreciate HK.Support Social Enterprise”which had accommodated the needs of Muslims and designed the “Halal Poon Choi” for them, with food including Vegetable Samosa, pokora, Aloo Tikki, Tandoori Chicken Tikka, Seekh Kabab, Chicken Curry, Plain Nan, Steam Rice, Chatni and Spring roll They can experience the Chinese traditional Poon Choi feast together.
