Henderson Land Group Property Management Department –“Team of Care” upholds the long-establishing goal of Henderson to contribute to the society, fully supports and encourages its employees to participate in volunteer services, and helps build the society. Over the years, “ Team of Care” has over 3000 volunteers as a strong team . Through participating in various kinds of public services and charitable activities,” Team of Care” concerns for disadvantaged groups and promotes harmony within the society. In 6th September 2014, The Executive Director of Henderson Land Development Company Limited, Mr. Suen Kwok-lam, MH, JP , as a leader had participated and co-organized Mid-Autumn Celebration for the members of Home Market with “ Team of Care”. Launched in 2012 by Mr. Lee Ka Kit,JP, CPPCC Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Henderson Land Group, Home Market is a people focused and care driven project for helping the underprivileged maintain a sustainable living standard through the provision of essential food and daily necessities at either cost or not-for-profit prices. The clientele of Home Market comprises the elderly, the disabled, new arrivals from mainland, low-income families and the ethnic minority (EM). Given the specific social network of the clientele, a business-to-customer model was adopted to take the project forward. Not-for-profit convenience stores were set up at selected locations to reach into the clientele’s community. During the event, our Magician from“ Team of Care”, Mr. Alex Ng had performed the magic show for the members. Mr. Lee and Mr. Suen had given the “Gift Bag” to everyone of the member. Mr. Lee, also, had presented a birthday cake and sung birthday song to the members who were their birthday on the same day. They all were having a good time in the afternoon.
